My old trusty wacom tablet started dying randomly for unpredictable intervals so I decided to get a new one.  I'm really not sure if I like it though.  The brushes don't seem to apply evenly at all.  I suppose I'll get used to it in time...

I always find that stumbling upon some piece of truly wonderful composition - be it writing or art - always leaves me both delighted and despairing.  On one hand, it's hard not to feel that happy ache of something just speaking to you, that seems to fit perfectly in with your tastes and likes, and on the other hand, it's always heartbreaking to wonder if you can achieve anything even half of its merit.  They've gotten it so "right" and what if you can't ever accomplish the same?  It's this strange mix of reverent awe and self-deprecating envy.
